Study in Autism Spectrum Disorders accepted for publication

A manuscript has been accepted for publication in Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment, an international peer-reviewed scientific journal.

The study shows that individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and specifically Asperger Syndrome, have aberrant activity patterns in response to auditory masking. These aberrant patterns differentiated this group from matched psychiatrically healthy individuals, and groups having related psychiatric conditions. The findings are a significant contribution to the knowledge of the Asperger Syndrome and enhances the position of the SD-BERA technology.

SensoDetect has developed a method for objective neurophysiological decision support for diagnostics, primarily in psychiatric health care and forensics. The technology underlying SensoDetect’s test instrument, SensoDetect® BERA, is based on brainstem audiometry and is the result of extensive research at Lund University.
