A study in Autism spectrum disorders has been published

A study comprising totally 64 individuals has now been published in the international journal Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment. The publication of this study is an important step in the aim of SensoDetect to strengthen the evidence of its objective diagnostic decision support system SD-BERA.

The paper is accessible via the following link: http://www.dovepress.com/articles.php?article_id=4529

Autism spectrum disorders include autism, Asperger syndrome and other pervasive developmental disorders. About 1% of the population suffers from autism spectrum disorders that are characterized by stereotyped behavior and deficient social interaction and communication skills. Early diagnosis is of high priority but there are not yet any neurophysiological measurements to indicate autism spectrum disorders in clinical diagnostics.

SensoDetect has developed a method for objective neurophysiological decision support for diagnostics, primarily in psychiatric health care and forensics. The technology underlying SensoDetect’s test instrument, SensoDetect® BERA, is based on brainstem audiometry and is the result of extensive research at Lund University.
