Study results presented at the Berlin ADHD congress

SensoDetect presented previously unpublished results in Biomarker Candidates for ADHD at the 3rd International Congress on ADHD - From childhood to adult disease, Berlin, 26-29 May 2011. Overall, there were 2077 registered visitors at the Congress.

The presented findings showed that SD-BERA test, sound masking test specifically, can distinguish the ADHD group from the control subjects. Furthermore, these abnormalities can be significantly normalized by methylphenidate medication. The results were based on a Swedish material containing un-medicated (n = 24) and methylphenidate medicated (n = 15) adult patients with ADHD and matched control subjects without a diagnosis (n = 48).

In addition to poster presentation with these results, the SensoDetect® BERA technology was presented at the SensoDetect exhibition stand.

Recognition and description of the results and methodology for an international audience, along with ongoing publishing work, are important aspects of the internationalization of the SD-BERA method.

SensoDetect has developed a method for objective neurophysiological decision support for diagnostics, primarily in psychiatric health care and forensics. The technology underlying SensoDetect’s test instrument, SensoDetect® BERA, is based on brainstem audiometry and is the result of extensive research at Lund University.
