Individuals with these conditions frequently face socio-economic challenges and experience a reduced quality of life. Diagnosing and treating ADHD or autism requires considerable time, effort, and financial resources. Achieving an early confirmed diagnosis is often crucial for taking the right steps at home and within the family. Sometimes, we may get a sense of "something isn't right" about our loved ones' thinking patterns, emotional states or behaviours. If several of the following signs and symptoms are occurring, it may be advised to follow up with a mental health professional: • Long-lasting sadness or irritability • Extreme mood swings • Excessive fear, worry, or anxiety • Social or emotional withdrawal • Dramatic changes in eating or sleeping habits ## Testing SensoDetect has developed an objective test to support psychiatric research and care. Participating patients will be connected to the SensoDetect BERA device through five electrodes. The patient is asked to sit back and relax while listening to a series of four different clicking sounds, played through securely fitted earphones. The test is completely safe and takes about 30 minutes in total per session, though the actual measurement only lasts 14-20 minutes. Please note: If the patient is under the age of 18, parental approval is required. A written note with a parent or guardian's signature, or the presence of a parent, is necessary.
